My Story

In 1997, I became ill and had no idea what was wrong with me. So, I did what I had always done in the past: I saw my doctor to figure it out. After many appointments and numerous tests, nothing improved. I visited specialist after specialist, underwent more tests, but again, nothing helped. I even tried expensive tests that weren’t covered by Canada’s health care system. During this time, I felt like I was merely existing with no excitement or purpose. I was about to get married but seriously considered calling off the wedding, unsure of what I might be "saddling" my soon-to-be husband with. A specialist told me I was unlikely to have children.

At that time, my father had been seeing an herbalist for a few years, and his health had been steadily improving. Before my illness, I often joked about the "hippie" he was seeing for health advice. My father suggested I consult this herbalist for my health problems. Though I didn’t know what to expect, I was desperate and open to trying anything. So, I made an appointment.

When I met with my father’s herbalist, her approach was to test the energy within my body, divided into specific areas. These areas corresponded to different body systems and organs, from the general to the very specific. Through this process, she identified which areas were strong and which were weak. When she found a weak area, she balanced it with food, vitamins, and herbs. I had never heard of this method before, but as I sat through the testing, I instinctively knew I had found the help I needed. I became a dedicated student from day one, and my commitment to learning this process has only deepened over the years.

Over the next few years, my health improved significantly. I became stronger and stronger. Now, at 57 years old, I have two children and a thriving life. My fascination with energy testing has never faded. I continue to learn and grow in my knowledge, which evolves constantly.

Calling this person an “herbalist” hardly captures the full scope of her influence. Over the years, she helped me in nearly every area of my life. I could just as easily call her a "therapist," a "spiritual teacher," or a "philosopher." She taught me how to view life from different perspectives, which allowed me to resolve issues in new and effective ways. In the beginning, she was someone who helped me regain my health. But she became my teacher, my mentor, and my dear friend. She taught me how to be the best person I could be. For years, she encouraged me to write a book about her work, believing in my ability to convey her story. Sadly, she passed away this year, and this website is the book I never wrote.

I created this website to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years—the knowledge that helped restore my health and enabled me to live a more fulfilling, meaningful life. My hope is that by sharing what I’ve learned, others can become more self-reliant, able to discern the best choices for their health and their life journey.

This website is, in itself, a journey for me, and I thank you for being here.
